Our ethos is encapsulated in our motto, “Assistance Without Delay”, and our creed, “100% for Charity”.

Since 1929, we've been driven by a mission that's as compelling as it is simple: “No Child Shall Miss School for Lack of Shoes or Coat”. We spring into action when a child's need is reported by school administrators, police officers, fire officials, or neighbors. We don't just support—we transform lives by providing swift, temporary aid to the financially disadvantaged youth of Northwest Ohio.

Our initiatives are as diverse as they are impactful:

• Distributing new clothing and shoes through vouchers, giving children the dignity and comfort they deserve.
  

• Supporting other local charities, creating a united front against child poverty.
  

• Delivering food baskets to needy families, ensuring no child goes to bed hungry.
  

• Offering 14 annual $5,000 college scholarships to high school seniors, opening doors to opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have.

Every year, we channel hundreds of thousands of dollars into these vital programs, serving those in need regardless of race or creed.

We're more than an organization—we're a community. Our 600+ active members come from all walks of life, bound by a shared compassion for children suffering from poverty and neglect. Our “Newsies” raise funds by selling our annual Charity Edition Newspaper on the First Friday in December. Sold on street corners, in local businesses, and wherever kind hearts gather, every single penny collected goes directly to aiding local kids.
